|Chris Altese – Head Golf Professional, Director of Golf
Starting in the cart and guest service operation at Bethesda Country Club just outside of Washington DC, Chris has been in the golf business for over 20 years and has been a Class A PGA Golf Professional and a member of the PGA of America since 1998. Chris and his family have resided in Diamondhead since 1999. A graduate of the PGA’s Professional Golf Management program at Mississippi State University, Chris was most recently employed at the Bridges Golf Club in Bay St. Louis, MS where he was Director of Golf for past 10 years. In addition to Bethesda Country Club and The Bridges Golf Club, Chris also worked at Hattiesburg Country Club, MS State University Golf Club, and Windance Golf Club. 2016 recipient of the Gulf States PGA Youth Player Development Award.
|Maury Hodgens – Assistant Professional
Maury learned the golf business from his Club Professional dad. They owned J & M Tours, a tour operator that put together golf packages from the FL Panhandle to Biloxi, Jacksonville and Atlantic City. Working for Edwin Watts golf shops in Tallahassee, Memphis and Ft. Walton Beach gave him great insight of the retail side of golf. Maury was one of the opening Golf Professionals for Grand Bear Golf Course and has also worked for Seminole Golf Course in Tallahassee, FL and Gadsden Country Club in Quincy, FL. He also worked in the casino industry for 9 years. His well-rounded golf and customer service background makes Maury a great addition to the Diamondhead Country Club.

For over 25 years, I have taken lessons with regional Class A PGA professionals such as Hoppy Smith, V.J. Trolio, Jack O’Neil and James Leitz which exposed me to many different swing theories. After studying the works of renowned sports psychologists, mental golf coaches and scientists such as Harvey Penick, Bob Rotella, Lynn Marriott, Pia Nilsson and Dr. Richard Coop. I became fascinated with the importance of the mental implications of the game of golf. The “Mind Control Golf” course is now available at the Diamondhead Golf Academy. |Jimmy Headrick – Director of Junior Golf
Jimmy Headrick joined the Academy of Golf at Diamondhead in November 2015. Headrick is a 37 year Class A Member of the PGA of America. He is the most decorated PGA Professional in the history of the Gulf States PGA in his work of growing and developing junior golf. Along with his instruction duties at the Academy, he is the U.S. Kids Golf Gulf Coast Tour Tournament Director.

Theo Reshew has a degree in Professional Golf Management and has been teaching golf for 26 years. He is an Authorized Instructor in The Golfing Machine, Class A Member of the PGA, and certified Eye Line Golf instructor. The knowledge accumulated from years as a member of the PGA and being an A.I. with The Golfing Machine has given Theo the ability to help people with all facets of the golf swing. All age groups can benefit from the swing techniques taught. Theo specializes in swing motion which includes: tempo, weight shift, and body rotation. These three areas of the golf swing can be utilized by every type of golfer, no matter what age or skill level, to generate more club head speed and better contact. There are two price options: 1.
